"Chak De O Chak De India..."

Guys what a month this has been for Indian sports!!! From the Hockey Asia Cup to Nehru Cup football and now the Inagural 20-20 World Cup, we have won three cups in three different sports in a span of 30 days. The Indian sports seems to be peaking up quite sharply at the right time. To add to it the victory of Karan Chandok in the recent GP1 formula race has proved to be the icing on the cake. Its really good to see India rising as a formidable power in various disciplines of sports. The unofficial National Sports Anthem "Chak De O Chak De India..." seems to be doing the trick and has proved quite lucky for us. One couldn't have asked for more, guys. I hope this streak of wins continues for long, especially at the next Olympics games as well and India comes up as a strong force to be reckoned with in sports, just as it has proved itself on the economic front.

"The Fountainhead"....

The Fountainhead is the story about the life of an idealistic young architect, Howard Roark , who chooses to struggle rather than compromise his artistic and personal vision by pandering to the prevailing taste in building design. Quite strangely he lives in the fourth dimension, least concerned about what the people around think of him. The author has beautifully characterized the people in the world into three categories. Firstly the people like Howard Roark who are incapable of relating to the others around them and who in their arrogance transform that incapacity into a life principle. Set against them are the ones like Peter Keating , another architect. Like Roark , Keating is totally self absorbed, but lacks Roark's arrogance. These are the ones who are dishonest for financial advantages and can even go to extend of asking the Roarks for help with a job and putting their own name on the job, albeit with their permission. And the rest are the people like Gail Wynand , who

WOW... What a game it was....

Well the first 20-20 cricket fixture between India and Pakistan was one hell of a game guys. What a cracker it was, had all the ingredients of a 20-20 game - fireworks, wickets, suspense, tension and finally a bowl out(same as football penalty shoot out). Congrats to India on coming out as a winner in the end. After the game was over i just had a thought that what a pity it is to see one brother(India) gaining from the loss of the other(Pakistan). How difficult it is to keep the two of them at parity with each other. Today by chance we had both of them at par but then ones again the rules set by the English did not allow that to happen and at last one had to win while the other had to lose the game. It was as if the history was repeating itself after 60 years. The rules set by british were once again able to divide India into two - The Winner and The Losser.

Just finished reading this helluva book "Shantaram". A great book that keeps you totally engrossed till the last of its events is unfurled, well for me i finished it in almost 4 days ;-) that's what they call schumacher stuff but dude the book was so good that i just couldn't keep myself away frm it for long. The character's keep making u laugh n a bit of touchy at some instances as well. Each character in itself portraits a different being from the other in each and every sense. A book that tells how the Indians work with their heart and how important it is to surrender urself at times in India. How one has to at times do the wrong stuff 4 the right reasons? All in all a Fuckin good book yaar... Here's a list of some of the great quotes from the book that i would remember for quite a long time -->The difference between news and gossip-News tells you what people did, gossip tells you how much they enjoyed it. -->A king is a bad enemy, a worse friend, and
