The crucial last 10 minutes....

Yet another day; yet another defeat. Every time the Indian hockey team seems to be poised for a victory, they simply comit some sucidal mistake and give away the victory. A lacklustre display of hockey takes it all away from them in the last ten minutes or so... When everything seems to be going right the Indian team is unable to deliver the last knockout punch... Even much more heartening is the fact that the goals conceeded by them throughout the tournament are not the ones earned by their oppositions. The Indian team seems to be firing on all cylinders till the last ten minutes and then something goes seriously wrong and the players seem to be playing as individuals rather than as a team. What one can learn from the Indian performence at the hockey world cup is that there is a crucial difference between a good performence and a good result.. Let's hope some good results can be seen in future from this team than just good performences coz. at the end of the day what really matters is the score line and not the performence....
