Dil jaise dhadke dhadkane do....

Finally looks like things are taking some shape, especially with GMAT and paragliding! Yes, my new passion is paragliding and as a resolution i've decided to complete a full time course this year(at least elementary pilot course). So just keep watching this space for a lot more activity in the coming months.....

Zindagi na milegi dobara

From the category of movies, where everything is good, the story, acting and the whole pack, now comes "Zindagi na milegi dubara". The movie has it all, starts very well with some good comedy snippets and then flows well in the middle with the story line and finally reaches the peak towards the very end. A little abrupt ending though leaves one longing for more but then again the credits song just takes it past the finishing line in some great style. The character are very well played by all the actors, Hrithik plays his part nicely with a little sensitivity and is central character in the first half and then Frahan and Abhay take it over later in the second half. Katrina seems to be at ease in this one and seems to play her character very naturaly. Overall a great watch, and you miss something by not watching it. 4 on 5 from my side.

Samvit "Why MBA?"

This has been around ever since i got into third year of my college and kind of decided to go for CAT. The step towards MBA was triggered by two things: Firstly not being able to get through the best of the engineering colleges in the country and secondly because everyone around was going for the same. Since both were not really convincing in any way, that led to not so outstanding performance in the CAT. Anyhow it was enough to get me to the interview rounds of one of the good colleges. And quite naturally the first question to be asked was "Why MBA?". Oh and the explanation was obvious too, transition from Engineering to Management, thats what everyone does and thats exactly what i look forward to(Not exactly the same words but then yes the intent was similar). Even got selected but that day i realized a couple of things: One that i wasn't prepared for MBA and certainly not convinced as to whether i should opt for it.    Things are different now: After slogging day

Manhattan Gmat2: An eye opener

Just finished my second MGMAT. Didn't write the essays and had some time management issue with the Quant section. Had a lot of guessing to complete the section within the time limit and ended up with 13 wrong choices. Quite an eye opener as i've always thought of this section as my forte. Really need to work on it now on. Verbal section as usual had its on shortfalls in the saying. But an alarming thing is the percentage of the CR and the SC questions in the total wrong question value, which is somehow quite large. Again this is something i had stopped working on for past couple of days.  Takeaways: Start with AWA. Data Sufficiency continues to be a big problem. Work harder on it. Problem Solving is OK. Sentence correction is a new grey area. Critical reasoning could have been better. Reading comprehension has improved(ufff at least something's positive)    Action Items: Data Sufficiency and Sentence Correction -> Priority 1. Continue to practice PS, CR and RC
